Yesterday was a quiet day...
Right after breakfast I started doing laundry in the basement of our hotel. The owner told me that all of the soap and everthing was already down there, so I thought I was all set! However, what I forgot to count on was my inability to read the settings on the machines! It was hilarious....I sat there looking at the pictures and guessing at to how it worked. I decided that I would put in some of Paul's dark clothes first and test it...if everything came out fine, then I would do the rest...hehe! Apparantly I made the right choice because it all worked out. It was almost lunch time by the time I got all of the laundry clean, dry, folded and put away.
I then worked on updating the blog, responding to emails, paying bills, etc. Sounds like a day at home, doesn't it??!
Paul had to study again last night so we had a quick dinner and then I worked on school stuff while he studied. By the way, Asian food here is terrible!! Paul and I absolutely love sushi, Indian, and Thai....our three favourites. Here, the food was horrible....sticking to German food from now on! Although, I don't really like a lot of that, either. I don't really eat a lot of meat and here they eat a ton of sausage and cold cuts. I find the meat to be very, very salty. I will say, however, that the potato salad is one of the best I have ever tasted!
This morning I am heading to the train station to figure out some of our day trips. We have decided that we are not going to Munich this weekend. It is a longer train ride, so we are going to wait until April is here to venture out that way, rather than do it twice. Paul finishes training at lunch-time on August 5th....so we will head to Munich that afternoon and stay until Thursday evening. This weekend we are going to go to Bamberg and Rotnenburg ob der Tauber.
That's all for now! More pics tomorrow.... :)

How'd the train station visit go? If my calculations are right, it is early afternoon by now!
When do you come home - the 6th?

I was looking forward to seeing a pic of the washing machine with the instructions.
One of my fav thing to do when on holidays is take pics of the funny graphic signs that we don't have in Canada -- my two favs -
- one in Ireland was a picture of an elderly couple with canes -- on a yellow sign -- it was for an old folks home - but to me it looked like a sign you'd see here for cattle crossing -- so LOL when I saw it --the thought of random old folks just wandering around....
two - was in China -- a picture of a trumpet on a yellow sign -- meant no honking - but made me think no trumpet playing in this area.
there's got to me some funny signs in Germany!
