I first went to the train station to try and figure out the trains for this weekends touring. After that, I took a quick tour around the city and enjoyed the sights.
Both Paul and I were walking to dinner when we came across a Muslim protest...although we have no idea what they were protesting about...we couldn't read a thing!
In the evening we got together with two guys from Britain who are taking the course with Paul. There was a beer festival in a square in Erlangen and we met them there. It was amazing! There were at least 500 people in the small square - all different ages - and everyone was having a good time. There were quite few beer vendors, pretzel vendors and a live band was playing. We stayed until quite late and then got lost on our way home....but we eventually found our back! A great night!!

I'm sitting here reading blogs and watching the evening news with half my attention. Apparently there are worldwide protests against the election in Iraq, as well as human rights issues there. Probably the protest you ran into?
Love your street photos.
oops... I mean human rights issues in Iran...
