Saturday's Events - Rothenburg ob Tauber - Incredible!!!

Saturday morning Paul and I headed to the train station and then boarded the train for Rothenburg ob Tauber. Just before we boarded the train I headed to the little girls room and couldn't believe what I was seeing! An older woman was sitting inside the washroom at a table, eating her apple and taking 50 cents for the right to use the washroom. Paul and I couldn't believe it...it was so funny!!

We decided to take the slower train as it was cheaper and we had to switch trains four times. We didn't mind, however, as the scenery was amazing! We were able to see farmland, fields, and a lot of forest. Also, we were able to see little towns along the way and their housing and gardens. It was a great ride!
On the train ride to Rothenburg.

We stopped for lunch just outside the city. Every item on the menu had something to do with potatoes...my nightmare, Paul's heaven!

The gate leading directly into the city.

One of the watch towers surrounding the city - Paul climbed to the top at the end of the day - watch for the photo in a future post!
