Tuesday's Events

April is here!!

My friend, April, arrived in Germany this morning. I was so happy to see her! I was also happy to hear that she was able to make all of her flight connections. The only snag was that her luggage didn't make all of the connections and therefore her luggage was delievered to the hotel much later that evening.

We chatted for awhile and then we walked to downtown Erlangen for lunch on a patio. After a big lunch and a beer, she was feeling the effects of the time change and so we headed back to the hotel. After an afternoon nap, we walked to meet Paul at his work. We went grocery shopping and picked up a cooked chicken at a small store outside of the grocery shop.

I cannot tell you how excited Paul and I were to get a chicken for dinner!! Most of the meat eaten here is pork...and I barely like pork on the best of days! The chicken and fresh salad (from veggies we picked up at the market downtown), was the best meal I have ever eaten in my life! :) We ate out on the patio and soaked up the sun....it was a very relaxing evening!
