Cycling around Germany is so easy because of how well it is set-up and the priority that is given to those who cycle. Everything is within close proximity and there really isn't a need for a vehicle. Everywhere we go went we saw bicycles - and they are just left in front of shops and no one really locks their bikes.
We spent the day cycling and stopping to browse in the little shops along the way. One of the shops we stopped at was a very neat candy store. All the candy is made with fruit juices and has no added sugar. There are also a lot of candies that are gelatin-free. They taste quite different...but they are very yummy!
It was a lot of fun spending the day with both Martha and Molly and getting to know them better as we toured Erlangen.
In the evening Paul and I went on another bike ride. I wanted to take him to the candy shop we had found earlier that day - but I ended up getting us lost! I was so confident that I knew exactly where I was going and I did find it in the end....but it took us awhile! :) After purchasing a bag of candy we went for dinner at a cafe and sat outside as the weather was beautiful.
After dinner we rode back to the hotel and then sat out on the patio for the evening. Paul had some studying to do, so I did some reading for school. All in all, it was very relaxing.
