It felt like such a loooooooong wait for our first house. Probably because we waited a year and a half (instead of 7 months), and right now we are focusing on the adoption...which means that the date for the house has crept up on us!
As soon as the Christmas rush was over, I started the packing frenzy. With Paul out of commission, it is down to me - and I started off feeling completely overwhelmed. After a few days of tearing through our stuff, purging at an alarming rate (beats packing it, right?), and finally seeing some progress - I am feeling better. I also decided that I would accept the help that others were offereing and that has helped to eleviate some of the stress.
I am honestly looking forward to moving - or at least the part where we can say that we are finally HOME! I don't care if it takes me months or even years to get properly unpacked, at least the upacking doesn't have a deadline!
As I was packing, I realized that I needed to pack some boxes for Maelyn - she actually has quite a few of them already! It brought a smile to my face to realize that I will be unpacking them in her room! I can wait until we are enjoying our new home as a family. :)

I can't wait either...can't wait to see Maelyn's room come to life with every box opened and to see each ladybug and butterfly fluttering into the perfect spot...all set to welcome that special little girl home.
