Timelines and Updates

Today our adoption program coordinator returned from her trip to Korea. I was excited that there would be someone in the office who could now advocate on our behalf to track down our LOA.

To my relief, she called around noon to give me an update. Referrals have been returned from the CHEO hospital in Ottawa and are ready to be presented to families. She re-confirmed that we do have a child that has been matched with our family - but with no LOA, she could not give us any other information.

A call was placed by our coordinator to the Ministry, inquiring about where our LOA is and why they haven't received it as of yet. She also emailed her contact person - please send out your prayers that someone at the Ministry will respond - and quickly!

The Ministry will be closed tomorrow for Remembrance Day - but our agency remains optimistic that our LOA could be received by Thursday or Friday of this week. I, however, am not holding my breath. I am hopeful, but don't want to drive myself crazy worrying (who am I kidding?!?!).

As we wait, we are preparing for our referral call by making sure the video camera is charged and in working order, that the questions we have are written down, etc.

A few more days!! We can make it a few more days...
