As many of you already know, Paul and I have wanted to be parents for quite some time now. We planned on becoming parents as soon as we were married. Sometimes God lets us know that He has other plans for us...
Once Paul and I had gone through about a year of fertility treatments and found out that my diagnosis of pcos was going to make getting pregnant even more difficult for us than we had previously thought, we immediately shifted our focus towards adoption.
We researched domestic and international adoption and made the decision to adopt from China. I have had the privilege of being good friends with families who have adopted from China and my experiences with my friends made the decision quite easy to make!
Paul and I did some research and attended a few information sessions about our options. We decided that we would adopt from the Waiting Children Program through Children's Bridge. When we first started the process we were told that it would be a two year wait for our child. The timeliness, however, have been getting shorter. It looks as though we will be home from China with our child by next February!
We are excited about all that the next year will bring....paperwork, planning and travelling! We also appreciate all of the love and support we have received from our friends and family throughout the past year and half as we have gone through fertility issues and our decision to adopt. We love you all!

Bryanna has recently been wearing a sweatshirt of mine as pajamas. It happens to be one of my old Children's Bridge shirts that I wore to China. The message on the back says "I'd travel 7000 miles for one of those smiles".
Every blessing as you take the first step on YOUR wondrous 7000 mile journey.
Love Lianne, Bryanna and Cassidy
So exciting Jan!!!
